Saarland sammelt Saarland: Das Saarland als Panini-Album
Dec 14th 2014
More >

My 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Panini stickers collection
May 25th 2014
In a few days the most important sport event of the world, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil ™ will be held in Brazil. And of course the new Panini Album has also been released with 639 stickers to collect! This time there’s also an app ()that will enable you to manage your stickers and finally know how many times you got one sticker.
Here are some pictures of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil ™ Panini Sticker Album including the 100 Stickers box. Notice that this time the facts and club of the players are directly printed on the sticker itself rather than on the album (this was the case in the last 2010 edition). So it’s possible for Panini to update the stickers if there’s a last minute injured player. More >

Augmented Reality Advent Calendar by Windel
Dec 22nd 2013
Augmented reality can be really fascinating. But what happens if you combine a calendar with an App and 24 tiny doors to open till Christmas? Yes, the thing is getting even more interesting. I’ve found this pretty well designed (notice the iPad-like design of the calendar) Windel Advent calendar in my favorite supermarket. Each day when you open one door, you will not only get a chocolate but also a small animation with a Santa Claus when you scan the pattern on the door. Funny, isn’t it? More >

Sebastian Vettel Papercraft
Nov 1st 2013
4! Sebastian (IV)ettel won his fourth Formula One Word championship . To “celebrate” this, I’ve conceived a small – what we can call – fan papercraft representing the Formula One champion. You can download the files, take your scissors and glue and after a few minutes (max 1h30) of handiwork you will get your own Sebastian Vettel papercraft for your desktop or vitrine. As a bonus you can also put him a nice little helmet and place him on the paper podium. Have fun! Here are some pictures to show you how easy it is to build this papercraft 😉

Video game review: Lego Lord Of The Rings (PS3 version)
Jan 2nd 2013
If you know Middle Earth better than London’s underground map then you are a real Lord Of The Rings fan. I must say I was kind of skeptical when receiving a copy of the video game Lego Lord Of The Rings. How would a combination of Lord Of The Rings and Lego bricks look like? And what about controlling “Lego-bricked” Gollum or fighting Nazgul as Aragorn with a little plastic looking sword? I had a lot of fears that this game would be too childish without a lot of fun and perhaps a very adapted transcription of Tolkien’s master chief. What a good surprise to see that the story and the film transcription and scenes were – almost – perfectly respected including the chronology of each action. More >

Cars in Music Videoclips: best-of cars and stunts in famous videoclips
Nov 1st 2012
“Baby you can drive my car”… When the Beatles sung this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ts2U1mkfz4) it was clear: music hits are closely linked to man’s best wheeled friend: the car. Cars, cars and again cars, over the past twenty years the video music industry has continuously combined this rolling object with music and artists to the point that some clips turned to be cult and are so impregnated in the people’s brain that the sole citation of the clip name lets directly recall which brand was featured in the video clip. I’ve decided to make a small selection of the best music video clips of the past years including cars and how these cars were driven in an original manner. More >

[Weblife]: Forza Motorsport 4 – Hockenheim Making Of
Aug 18th 2011
Have you ever asked yourself, how game circuits are realized? The crew of Turn 10 shows us some details about the development of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 racing simulation. The following video shows how the track of Hockenheim was measured with GPS and how the track is then modeled into 3D. I’ve found it very interesting especially due to the fact that the real and virtual images can’t be really determined on the first sight. Let’s hope that the new Forza Motorsport 4 game will be as excellent as the previews in this video… More >

Panini Album FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011
Jul 10th 2011
Here are some photos of my Panini album for the Women’s Football World Cup in Germany. Have you noticed that there is no weight indication in the player’s description frame? 😉 That’s the main difference between the men’s Panini album. It was the first time that Panini created an album for the Women’s Football World Cup.
More >
1 an de musique (Peugeot) – ça représente quoi?
May 8th 2011
[Weblife] : Lego Technic Ball Sorting Machine
Apr 25th 2011
This is the most spectacular and technical Lego construction I’ve ever seen on YouTube. Made with thousands of Lego Technic parts, this construction will mix and sort balls in a very particular manner.
Panini Album South Africa 2010
Jun 20th 2010
When the World Cup starts, I also begin to collect the stickers of the Panini albums. This year (like the others) I have a lot of stickers left and of course some that I’m still looking for in order to complete my album.
The following blog entry lists all stickers numbers I’m looking for and those I would like to swap.
If you have interests to swap Panini Stickers with me, please leave me a small message with your email or leave me a tweet : http://www.twitter.com/iMatD

Paper cars
Dec 16th 2005
I’ve found a very interesting new way to build cars! It’s very very cheap : paper cars. Here are some of my favourite sites where you can download PDFs to print, to cut and to stick it up with glue: 3DPapers.com.tw or Streetpaper.de
Depending on the difficulty level, you can realize some very beautiful cars. I’ve decided to build the 360 Modena and the Ferrari F1 2000. By clicking on the pictures you can enlarge. The Modena took me (i’m a beginner, so excuse the imperfections 😉 ) 4 hours and the F1 about 5h30 to build… It’s worse to try!
